Road Safety Audit

PMCE are one of the most experienced firms undertaking Road Safety Audits in Ireland. PMCE have Road Safety Audit staff approved by the National Roads Authority (NRA) for conducting Road Safety Audits on national road schemes.

PMCE can provide a completely independent Road Safety Audit team where this is required or, if necessary, can provide individual Road Safety Audit Team Members/Team Leaders to augment a Client organisation's internal team where they require an additional independent Road Safety Audit team member for a specific audit.

With in excess of 300 Road Safety Audits completed, the majority of these undertaken as Team Leader, Mr. Peter Monahan is one of the most experienced Road Safety Auditors in Ireland. He has worked for consulting engineering organisations, local authorities, private developers, etc. and his thorough and independent approach is valued as a positive contribution to his Client's schemes.

In addition to formal Road Safety Audits PMCE can provide services in relation to a review of the Road Safety aspects of any given road or junction improvement scheme, including Temporary Traffic Management arrangements. This extends to a review of existing situation to identify any issues which may exist and which may contribute to a reduction in safety. Accident Investigation and Monitoring (AIM) is a formalised approach whereby the accident history at a given location is reviewed and the location itself is then subject to a review in order to identify any aspect of the road layout which may be giving rise to drivers failing to cope with the road layout.
